WHAT HAPPENS IF THERE IS LIGHTNING FORECAST?

LFC IA programs follow the Football NSW Lightning Policy and the 30/30 lightning safety guidelines, which state that training must not commence or resume until at least 30 minutes have passed since the last thunder was heard. We are also required to stop the session if the time between seeing a lightning flash and hearing thunder is less than 30 seconds, and seek safety under appropriate shelter immediately.

As weather conditions can be unpredictable, we ask all families to ensure their LFC IA App notifications are ON and that their location is selected in settings so you stay updated on urgent alerts as training approaches.
